What We Stand For
We stand for transparency in hiring for organizations and candidates, support after placement and always being a resource for our nonprofit community.
Our History
Nonprofit Professionals Now was established in 2012 as a program within the nonprofit, Willamette Valley Development Officers (WVDO is now known as The People’s Nonprofit Accelerator). It was created as a program to support the newly created Certificate in Nonprofit Fundraising Course and the Executive Leadership Academy. Providing education for the community also encouraged WVDO to find employment opportunities that allowed candidates and organizations to thrive.
In 2016, the program became Nonprofit Professionals Now–a corporation owned by WVDO. In 2020, Agnes Zach became the first full-time employee and in 2021, she bought Nonprofit Professionals Now. Agnes registered NPN as a Benefit Corporation for Good in 2023 to continue to live out the values of the original organization–to help people find organizations where they can thrive.
Our Vision
Every nonprofit has the staff in place to thrive.
Our Mission
Our mission at NPN continues to be: Helping nonprofits find individuals that thrive in their organization so the nonprofit can best serve their community. Our measures of success include:
- 100% placement rate and
- 86% of placements remaining in the role for at least two years.
We track these statistics because the industry average for nonprofit professionals remaining in a role is less than two years and we like to understand how this impacts the nonprofit organization and the candidate.
Our Values
NPN holds three core values:
- We believe in our clients, candidates and nonprofit organizations.
- We listen to deeply understand our clients needs and support them.
- We partner with our clients, your success is our success.
