Carly Brown

Carly Brown (she/her) connects people to resources, roles, ideas, and collaborators to improve their lives and their communities. Carly is an AIRS Certified Diversity Recruiter (CDR). She has a BA in Literature from University of California, Santa Cruz, and an MPA with a Nonprofit Management Focus from Portland State University. In her 15 years with the Oregon Community Foundation, she led statewide community engagement efforts, working with volunteers and community leaders across Oregon. As a program officer, she was the lead or co-lead for various grantmaking projects and programs, such as GO Kids, Community 101 Youth Philanthropy, Bridging Oregon, and Community Grants. She strives to be an authentic communicator and approachable bridge builder.

Her time off the clock is spent with her family at their home in SE Portland, drinking coffee or beer with friends, hiking, reading, and riding her motor scooter around Portland and beyond. As a volunteer, she has reviewed grant applications for Oregon Humanities, serves on the board of the Oregon Values and Beliefs Center and on the chef selection committee for the Taste for Equity gala.
